The RFS has been developed to try and raise standards in the catching sector, enabling those within the seafood supply chain to demonstrate their commitment to the responsible sourcing of seafood.
It is the only global standard that audits compliance on board fishing vessels, including safety and welfare criteria. UK retailers Waitrose, Marks & Spencer and Wm Morrison Supermarkets have backed the scheme, along with the Scottish White Fish Producers’ Association.
More companies are engaging themselves to responsible sourcing of seafood, are you following this trend?
